We want anyone to be able to use this website, and we are aware that many of the people reading it are managing numbness, tremor, poor balance or reduced sensation in their hands. That is not an abstract accessibility case for us. It is most of our patients.
What we are working to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means:
- every part of the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone
- text has enough contrast against its background to be read comfortably
- images carry text descriptions
- the site works at any text size and on a phone
- moving content stops for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion — the rotating headline on our neuropathy page holds still rather than cycling
Where we know we fall short
Some parts of the site are provided by third parties — the booking calendar, the chat window, financing applications — and we do not control their code. If one of them blocks you, tell us and we will do the thing for you over the phone. That is not a workaround we are embarrassed by; it is faster than a form for most people anyway.
Tell us
If any page here is hard to use, we want to know, and we will fix it or find you another way to get what you needed.
Call or text 220-246-9283
Tell us the page and what happened. We will get back to you. If the phone is easier than typing, that is the point — you do not have to use the website to reach us about the website.
